It's been over a week since the University of Texas at Austin announced they would be discipling students involved in Palestine protests in April. The ACLU of Texas sent a letter on Thursday to UT President, Jay Hartzell, saying the disciplinary proceedings against students involved in protests, may be in violation of their First Amendment rights.

In the disciplinary letters sent by UT, students were asked to write responses to questions like, "Do you disagree your conduct was disruptive?" and, "Why did you not disperse?" Qaddumi is a member of the Palestine Solidarity Committee-- the group that was banned from campus for the involvement in the protests in April.

He added, "If they were to send the same letter to me with the same accusations, my arrest and my actions are very well documented-- it would discredit any claims."
