JOHN'S, N.L. — The first phase of construction on the Kelly's Brook Trail project in St. John’s begins Monday, Nov. 6, on the stretch of trail between Newtown Road and Guy Street, where the existing gravel trail will become a three-metre-wide paved shared-use path with lighting and improved crossings.
Pruning operations will be performed following arboricultural best practices to prune branches that create sightline issues or interfere with pedestrian or vehicular traffic. Motorists may experience traffic delays when work is being completed. During sensory skates, noise will be reduced in the facility, lights will be reduced and music will be turned off to create a calmer atmosphere to make skating more accessible to people with sensory sensitivities.
Head to the first Psychic Fair, in support of the Geraldine Rubia Centre, on Nov. 18 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at 41 Shaw St. in St. John’s. Passes will be available at the Paradise Double Ice Complex reception on November 18 and 19. Debit and credit are the only payments accepted.
