A third suspect has been arrested after a man was attacked following a car crash in Oldham . Officers responded to a collision involving two cars on Denton Lane, in Chadderton , at around 11.35pm on Tuesday .
A 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were previously arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault . In an update issued this afternoon , GMP confirmed that another 22-year-old man had also been arrested on suspicion of assault.All three remain in police custody for questioning. Cordons were in place on Denton Lane, Lansdowne Court and Apfel Lane following the incident.
Detective Inspector Clare Harrison, from GMP’s Oldham district, said: “We are working to build a full understanding of the incident and seek support from the community in doing this. A man has been left with serious injuries and we are investigating all lines of enquiries to establish the full facts in this targeted incident.
