This is how high street stores will operate from Monday
We’re all excited about the prospect of a little normality returning to our lives and with non essential retailers such as fashion stores set to open on the 15th of June there is a lot of speculation as to what your shopping experience may look like when doors are once again open.
One thing’s for sure, shopping of the future looks very different to the past. We’ve spoken to some of our favourite high street stores to see what their in store measures will look likes. - Safe and simple returns process - for example inline with government guidance we are going to separate returned stock from new or old stock for 72 hours.
- The frequency and rigour of store cleaning will both increase, particularly around high frequency touchpoints such as tills, escalators, lifts, and employee areas in back of house.- Training for all retail staff on how to operate safely in store while practising social distancing. - Perspex screens installed at each till, with 2m floor markings added to the queuing areas and around the store to promote social distancing.- Changing rooms will not be in operation until social distancing measures are lifted- Reduced staff numbers on each shift, altered opening times and staggered start times to reduce congestion in staff areas
- MANGO will thoroughly clean all it's stores prior to opening with disinfectant cleaning products. It will also clean and change the filters of the air conditioning equipment and increase the renewal flow of air.
