She is taking an early break from the show
This Morning has confirmed when Holly Willoughby, who presented the show alongside former host Phillip Schofield, will return. Phil, 62, announced his shock departure from the show after more than 20 years, stating he was quitting the ITV programme with immediate effect.
Her co-star Camilla Tominey – who regularly appears on the programme in the news segment – has confirmed Holly will be back on the blue sofa very soon, and in a column, the journalist stated Holly would be back fronting the show on June 5.It is not currently known whether someone will be signed up to replace Phil completely or whether the show will follow suit of Good Morning Britain, which has had several male presenters sit alongside Susanna Reid following Piers' exit from the programme.
"Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind. I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
