This Morning's schedule is adjusted today due to the ITV News Special: The Chancellor's Statement, impacting both This Morning and Loose Women's airtimes. In other news, Vanessa Feltz discusses her leaving This Morning and reveals her desire to continue both roles if she could.
This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard made a surprise announcement during Wednesday's episode, informing viewers of a change to the ITV schedule. They explained that the show would conclude earlier than usual at 12:15pm instead of its regular 12:30pm slot due to an ITV News Special: The Chancellor's Statement . As a result, Loose Women , which typically airs from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, will not be broadcast today.
However, both chat shows are set to return to their regular times tomorrow, Thursday 27 March, according to Wales Online. In other This Morning news, Vanessa Feltz has spoken openly about her recent departure from the show. She revealed that while she cherished her time on the ITV daytime favourite after over three decades, she wouldn't have left had a new opportunity on Channel 5 not arisen. Vanessa has secured her own daytime chat show with the rival channel. Although she initially thought she could manage both roles, the logistical challenges proved too great. In a Metro interview, Vanessa discussed her difficulties balancing both endeavors and her amicable departure from ITV. She emphasized that the decision to leave was entirely her own and that ITV management respected her choice to pursue this new challenge. Vanessa expressed her deep affection for This Morning, stating: 'I love This Morning, I would never leave it, I couldn't love it more. I would happily have stayed and gone on the back of a motorbike from the This Morning studio straight to Channel 5 and done both.' She added that she almost convinced herself she could juggle both jobs, saying: 'I almost believed I'd be able to do that, but I think apparently, it's not the way it's done... but I'd have done it, and I think they would have been happy for me to do it too.' Ultimately, Vanessa affirmed that there were no compelling reasons for her to leave This Morning and that she would still be on the show if the Channel 5 opportunity hadn't presented itself. This Morning broadcasts weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITV X while Vanessa's new show airs every weekday at 12:30pm on Channel 5
