This Morning has been on our screen since 1988, and over the years has seen many different presenters - let's take a walk back down memory lane at some of the show's former hosts
It's been a tough year for This Morning, with the show seeing more presenter switch ups in the last six months than it has over its three decade plus run.
Richard & Judy: 1988-2001 Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan were the original presenters of This Morning when it first launched in 1988 in Liverpool's Albert Dock. Caron Keating: 1998-1999 Like Eamonn and Ruth used to, Caron Keating joined the presenting line up on Fridays when Richard and Judy were off.
In 1990, he joined the lineup of This Morning as a relief presenter, before he took a hiatus in 1993 to do the same thing over at GMTV. Joining in series 11, he began presenting alongside Fern Britton, who at the time, was a regular Friday host. As of now, John no longer works in TV and instead works in property development and lives with his girlfriend Kate Moore.
She also cryptically said in a different interview when talking about her departure: "Something happened and I thought, 'That's it' and I walked away and resigned. I was treated pretty poorly, actually." However, Lorraine's This Morning stint was short lived due to her commitments with GMTV, where she was also a presenter at the time.
Elsewhere, Ruth has become somewhat of a Gen Z icon thanks to her hilarious Instagram and TikTok videos. She also anchors Loose Women in rotation with the other presenters. Phil later revealed he had an “unwise, but not illegal” affair with a young runner on the show. In May 2023, he stepped down from This Morning and apologised to his friends and colleagues.
