Alan Johnson, the former politician, made an embarrassing blunder on This Morning when he confused Kate Winslet with another celebrity, a mistake that went unnoticed by his co-stars - but was quickly picked up by viewers.
This prompted Johnson, 74, to recall a time when he believed Winslet had shared the stage with pop duo Sparks at Glastonbury Festival. However, it was actually Cate Blanchett who made the cameo appearance at the festival in 2023. One frustrated viewer took to Twitter to vent: "Alan Johnson desperately trying to sound down with the kids. 'I've loved Kate Winslet since she appeared with Sparks at Glastonbury.' It was Cate Blanchett actually which none of the other people there picked up on. Absolutely clueless", reports the Mirror.
