This Morning star Craig Doyle has been left heartbroken as he marked the anniversary of his father's death, after he passed away following a battle with dementia
Craig Doyle, a regular face on This Morning, had fans rushing to offer their support after he disclosed some heartbreaking news on his Instagram. The beloved Irish presenter has recently taken an extended break from his hosting duties on the popular ITV morning show.
Before the global outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Craig, 53, would regularly visit his father in an Irish care home where he resided. Recently, he posted an old photo on his Instagram Stories showing them both happily enjoying a day out, with beaming smiles. In the accompanying picture, Craig's dad was seen happily grasping onto a beer bottle and sporting a broad sunhat as they relaxed together in the garden.
In particular, Craig fondly remembers one section of the Bray promenade stating, "This bit is a particularly special place to me because when my dad was diagnosed with dementia, he was in a nursing home here."
