EXCLUSIVE: This Morning star Josie Gibson opened up about how she wants to find that 'magic' with a man - now a source tells OK! that true love would be 'the icing on the cake'
And, as she and Dermot O’Leary talked to an expert about '‘Why dating apps are addictive’, she revealed she’s come off the apps altogether in her hunt for romance.
“She basically wants to be loved, settled, be a part of a nice family”, they said. “She’s had a tough time on the love front, but that’s all she really wants. She dreamed of being a presenter - she’s got that. Now, she wants to find the love of her life. That would truly be the icing on the cake, for Josie. "
“She’s pretty disillusioned with online dating - it hasn’t got her anywhere and she really wants to find someone genuine who loves her just for her.” Indeed, in the promo video for last year’s I’m A Celebrity... Josie knowingly joked: “Snakes I'm quite good with actually, I've fallen in love with a few of them".
Being a famous face, she added, presents its own unique set of challenges: “Being a celebrity people know your status - not the ‘you’ behind that. Additionally, maintaining privacy and ensuring the well-being of their children, as in Josie's case with her son Reggie, may be top priorities when navigating the dating scene.”
Speaking on Loose Women in 2019 with baby Reggie after the couple separated, an emotional Josie said: "It's not what I wanted to come back and say. I was so proud of our family unit and that we'd done it properly, but yeah I'm a single parent. It's devastating really."
