This Morning viewers cringe as hosts Holly and Phil grill Love Island’s Maura and Curtis on their relationship status
This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby asked Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard outright if they are boyfriend and girlfriend after leaving the villa together as a couple in June.
Philip asked the pair: “Are you officially girlfriend and boyfriend… what is the status of your relationship?"He added: "I'm really happy with how this is going, I haven't asked her to be my girlfriend." Phil then told Curtis he was “old-fashioned", before Maura jokingly declared: "You weren't old-fashioned in the villa!"
He continued: "Just be boyfriend and girlfriend then. If it was ever going to happen on any TV show. It's our 10 year anniversary tomorrow.” A third viewer commented: “Maura and Curtis still aren’t bf and gf despite being together for over two months? Hmmm. Don’t see why people make a big deal of titles, like nothing changes, if you aren’t planning on dating others then you are bf and gf don’t overthink it #loveisland.”
A judge on the show, Brian Redmond, told The Mirror: “I believe Maura had been out a few times to watch the show and apparently she and Curtis had cast eyes at each other across a busy dance floor years ago.
