Delighted fans joked about new presenters
This Morning viewers claim to have spotted the show's new 'permanent hosts' ahead of the show being cancelled. The ITV daytime programme returned to screens on Monday with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary at the helm.
This Morning will be in its usual slot of 10am to 12.30pm from Monday to Wednesday before taking a day's break. It will then return on Friday, with Alison and Dermot still at the helm. Instead on Thursday, Lorraine Kelly will host a bumper edition of her show from 9am with an extra 15 minutes added to her slot ahead of the Australia vs Republic of Ireland coverage kicking off at 10.15am.Loose Women will also miss a showing on Thursday, with ITV switching over to ITV Lunchtime at 1.
The puppet pals Sooty and Sweep also got another starring role as they joined Clodagh McKenna in the kitchen as she whipped up her trio of pizza pies. And many viewers appeared to enjoy the touch of nostalgia as they tuned into the show on a dreary Monday. @LizoSpoons wrote: "Laughed like a drain Sooty & Sweep on #ThisMorning.
