A councillor said he is "chuffed to bits" that Market Drayton Town Council has voted to continue funding floral displays in the town next year.At a meeting of the Services and Facilities committee on Thursday , councillors considered a quote for the installation and increasing the watering fee charges to local businesses who are provided with a hanging basket by the town council.
It was decided that the watering charge will increase next year for the first time ever - by £5 - to a total cost of £25. Market Drayton Town Council funded and put up 114 handing baskets, 29 mangers and 35 pole top displays this year, and 37 of the hanging baskets were put up outside local businesses in the town.
