Thomas Frank explained why he believes Wataru Endo should have been sent off in Liverpool's win over Brentford
Brentford manager Thomas Frank did not feel hard-done by for Liverpool's second goal against Brentford - but was critical of the referee and VAR for not sending Wataru Endo off during his side's defeat at Anfield.
But Frank, referencing John Stones' goal-line clearance when the Reds faced Manchester City at the Etihad back in January in 2019, said: "The last one I will never complain about that. I think Liverpool were hard done by 1.3cm back in the day against Manchester City and that is goal-ine technology so unless we have that technology , I will never, ever complain. And by the way I was pretty far away to see that.
Summer signing Endo went in for a 50-50 challenge with Christian Norgaard, both with studs showing, and the Dane came off worse after the Japan captain won the ball. VAR took an extensive look though found no wrongdoing.
