Latest Manchester United news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup final against Manchester City as pressure grows on manager Erik ten Hag
Bayern Munich believe Thomas Tuchel let negotiations over a stay in Bavaria collapse because he has the Manchester United job lined up, it is claimed.
Tuchel has been one of several managers linked with the United job amid pressure on current boss Erik ten Hag. Ipswich Town's Kieran McKenna and Mauricio Pochettino have also been linked if Ten Hag departs Old Trafford after Saturday's FA Cup final against Manchester City. Reports emerged on Friday claiming that Ten Hag will leave the club regardless of the outcome of Saturday's final at Wembley. And BILD’s Christian Falk has claimed former Chelsea boss Tuchel could now be on his way to United this summer.
When asked about his future ahead of Saturday's game, Ten Hag said: “I am just focusing on the job I have to do and that is first win the game on Saturday and then we are in the project. Keep going in the project.”
