Thor Explorations CEO Segun Lawson discusses the company's successful drill program at its Segilola gold project in Nigeria, highlighting minable widths and good grades. He also reveals plans to advance the Douta gold project in Senegal with a preliminary feasibility study nearing completion. Lawson emphasizes the company's commitment to community development and navigating geopolitical challenges in the region.

Thor Explorations is continuing to ramp up its drill campaign at its Segilola gold project in Nigeria while also eyeing advancement at Douta in Senegal , chief executive Segun Lawson told Mining Journal on the sidelines of Mining Indaba, held this week in Cape Town."We've ramped up. Since the success rate of actually hitting the goal was well over 90% at those depths, we're very happy," Lawson said."The intersections we hit were minable widths, very good grades.

Lawson said he believes this is due to interest in gold companies and Thor's operating performance, adding that the company has had "a good set of longer-term institutions taking positions in our share register as well."Elsewhere, Lawson said that while some oil and gas companies in Nigeria have diversified into mining, Thor remains the most advanced.
