The major banking chains are all experiencing issues this afternoon

"and the Bank of Scotland issued the same statement on social media. According to Downdetector, thousands of customers are reporting issues across the closely linked banking platforms. As of 1pm, Lloyds had the most issues reported with 4,944, followed by 2,880 Halifax customers complaining online and 415 Bank of Scotland complaints. Issues began to be confirmed around 11am today, June 2.
When trying to log in to the Halifax app, customers are met with a message that says: "You've been logged out". It adds that there are "a few technical problems" and urged customers to "try again later". Frustrated customers have been posting online about the situation. On Downdetector, a Halifax customer said: "Unable to make any payments using my card?!
Ridiculous!
" Another wrote: "Absolutely mad. App is down, so is internet banking on browser!
" A third put: "This is happening way too often! " A Lloyds customer claims: "Can’t buy anything log in on app or online. This is ridiculous!
" Someone else put: "It’s been down since 11! It’s disgusting. Came to pay for new car as supposed to drive away in it today and can’t do it! Card rejecting, banking app not working and internet banking down.
Nothing works!
"Trying to log in to make an urgent payment keeps saying unable to process your request, currently having technical issues. It has been over an hour now, ridiculous! "
