Thousands of people are without power across Adelaide as wild winds continue to lash the city.
SA Power Networks says it could take some time for power to be reconnectedWinds of up to 50 kilometres per hour are expected to hit the Adelaide Hills and foothills this morning.
"In addition, we've got about 40 reports of wires down, so I just wanted to make it really clear to people to stay well clear of any wires down.
