Survival International alleges that the mining operations violate the uncontacted Hongana Manyawa people's rights to "remain uncontacted, and for no developments to take place on their territories without their FPIC ", as enshrined in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, among other statutes.
