Union bosses say a colleague has been 'victimised' for standing up for members
Trade union body GMB says its members that work on Nottingham's tram network could strike over Christmas after a Nottingham Trams Ltd employee was suspended. Balloting will begin on Monday amongst workers, which include drivers and ticketing staff, to decide whether to go ahead with the industrial action in revolt against the suspension.
NTL service delivery and safety director Sarah Turner said that the company has received notification from GMB of their intention to ballot members for strike action, citing "continued anti-trade union and union-busting tactics by the company management". NTL added that "further insight" on the reason for the staff member's suspension would be shared "once finalised".
