BREAKING: Three children rushed to hospital after being pulled from blaze at derelict pub
Three children were rescued from a fire at a derelict pub in Hazel Grove on Tuesday night. Fire crews raced to the huge blaze, at the former The Woodman pub, on the A6 London Road, at around 8.30pm.
It has since been confirmed that three children were rescued from the building after the fire broke out on the first floor of the now derelict site. The nature of their injuries or how the fire started has not yet been confirmed.Five fire engines raced to the scene, with the road remaining closed late into Tuesday evening. Fire crews from Cheshire were also called in to tackle the flames.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At around 8.30pm this evening , we were called to reports of a fire on the first floor of a two-storey derelict commercial building on London Road, Hazel Grove, Stockport.
