Three or more caffeinated drinks a day were associated with higher odds of migraine headache
The newly published research from 2016-17 found that people who only had a couple of cups of caffeinated coffee, tea or soft drinks did not get headaches.Lead investigator Elizabeth Mostofsky said: ‘Based on our study, drinking one or two caffeinated beverages in a day does not appear to be linked to developing a migraine headache, however, three or more servings may be associated with a higher odds of developing a headache.
The 98 participants filled in diaries every morning and evening during the study along with the number of drinks they had.They also wrote down if they had headaches noting the onset, duration, intensity and medications used for migraines since their last diary entry.
