Storm Darragh comes after serious flooding was caused during Storm Bert
Storm Darragh is expected to bring winds of up to 80mph and heavy rain on Friday afternoon and into the weekend across the UK, with local warnings put in place by the Met Office. Two separate yellow alerts, for wind and rain, will come into place at 3pm on Friday December 6.
Winds associated with Storm Darragh today, are "likely to lead to some disruption and damage" with the Met Office warning for "a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage".Tomorrow, the yellow warning for wind will change to an amber warning, starting from 3am through to 9pm. With that amber alert comes "potentially damaging winds".Two yellow warnings in place for wind and rain.
