Three fire crews called after car hits lamppost in late-night crash in Market Drayton

The crash, involving one car, happened shortly after midnight.

Three fire engines including the rescue tender were scrambled from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Prees and Wellington to reports of a collision in Riverside Drive at 12.24am on Monday.When they arrived on the scene the crews found a crash involving one saloon vehicle.

No one was trapped and the fire crews made the vehicle safe.A spokesman for West Mercia Police said:"Around 12.30am this morning we received a report of a car that collided with a lamppost on the A41 near the Tern Hill roundabout.West Midlands Ambulance Service has been asked to comment.
