A man was arrested and a fourth man is in hospital following the crash in Argyll and Bute.
Three men have died after the car they were travelling in was in collision with a HGV in Argyll and Bute.
Officers said the 47-year-old, understood to be the driver of the black HGV, was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and released pending further inquiries. Sgt Kevin Craig said: "At this time, our thoughts are with the families and friends of the deceased men.
