Three men have been arrested after a 'suspicious item' was found at Buchanan Bus Station. Police evacuated the Glasgow transport hub following the discovery on Wednesday (November 20).
Emergency services and bomb disposal squads swarmed the Glasgow transport hub after getting the call at around 1.10pm on Wednesday .
We previously reported how images showed an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team preparing a bomb disposal robot at the scene. Glasgow Live understands the robot is a Harris T7 Bomb Disposal Robot. There was confusion among bus station passengers. Vivien Hobson, 21, was trying to get to her university campus in Dumfries. "They're not telling us anything," she said.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Three me have been arrested in connection with an incident at Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow, which was reported around 1.10pm on Thursday ."Killermont Street remains closed to traffic and pedestrians with diversions in place. The public is advised to avoid the area."
