Police believe the victims were targeted after leaving venues across Fortitude Valley just after 3.20am. 9News
Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham said the offenders had the intent of robbing the victims of their belongings.It's alleged the boy was with four men when they confronted a 21-year-old Rothwell man on Constance Street.
One of the men stabbed the 21-year-old in the abdomen and the 17-year-old boy allegedly stole the man's gold necklace. Two others were also stabbed nearby, one in the back and the other in his forearm, around the same time on Constance, Ann and Wickham streets.Massingham said five men believed to be in a group allegedly robbed the victims while they were walking out of venues.
"That was particularly brutal, particularly violent, and callous in the way it was conducted," he said.Crime scenes have been declared in all locations and police have and continue to conduct extensive patrols.The 17-year-old Bundamba boy has been charged with one count each of robbery with violence, grievous bodily harm and stealing.to receive our daily newsletters and breaking news alerts, sent straight to your inbox.
