Three more people are due to appear in Liverpool Magistrates' Court today
Three more people have been charged following violent disorder in Liverpool and Southport earlier this month. This brings the total number of people charged to 48. Mark Blanchard, 37 of Saints Close, Old Swan and Carlos Sharp McStravock, 33, of Middle Way, Croxteth, were both charged with violent disorder in Southport on July 30, where thugs threw bricks, wheelie bins and other items at police officers, set fires and broke windows and walls at a mosque.
A third man, Max Higson, 22 of no fixed abode, was also charged with violent disorder on Sunday, August 18 and appeared in court yesterday .
