Three people have died after the ute they were travelling in left the road and struck a tree on the New South Wales north coast.

Authorities were called to Kangaroo Creek Road in Coutts Crossing, around 30km south of Grafton, about 9.30pm last night. "The driver, a 43-year-old man, and two passengers, a 14-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl, died at the scene," police said."Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash."A report will be prepared for the coroner.to receive our daily newsletters and breaking news alerts, sent straight to your inbox.
