ACT police confirm three people are in hospital after an alleged stabbing at the Australian National University in Canberra.

Three people have been taken to hospital after an alleged stabbing at the Australian National University in Canberra.

At 2:45pm today, ACT Policing and ACT Ambulance Service were called to the ANU after receiving reports of a stabbing. A police spokesperson said three people had been taken to hospital — two with stab wounds and a third who was allegedly assaulted. The spokesperson said one person was in custody in relation to the incident, and no other people were being sought by police in connection to it.

Police are calling for any witnesses that have not already come forward to attend City Police Station or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and quote reference P219341.
