Three individuals have been sentenced to 18 years in jail for the murder of a beloved Glasgow grandad. The police have criticized their complete disregard for the victim's life. The murder took place in the Springburn area of Glasgow, and the body was found on February 8, 2022. The perpetrators were caught, with two of them being arrested at a hotel on Valentine's Day.
Three people were jailed yesterday for the murder of a much-loved Glasgow grandad with police condemning their "utter disregard for his life". James Houston, 35, Maria Gardiner, 47, and Michael Anderson, 40, appeared at the High Court in Glasgow yesterday (Monday, March 4), where they pled guilty to 52-year-old Brian Maley's murder. They were each sentenced to 18 years in jail.
Brian's body was found within his home on Young Terrace in the Springburn area of Glasgow on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Gardiner, Anderson, and Houston, killed Mr Maley after walking the miles from Glasgow's Govan to the victim's home in the city's Springburn. The 52-year-old was subjected to a brutal ordeal on February 8 2022 including being stabbed with a knife and chisel.
