The Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles will meet in a Week 1 showdown on Friday night in Brazil. Here are three reasons why the Packers will earn an upset victory.

“We have expectations that are higher than a lot of the world probably is,” receiver Christian Watson said this week.

“I think he’s as prepared as he can be but, having said that, not where he needs to be,” new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio told reporters in Philadelphia when asked about DeJean this week. “The biggest problem in defending their offense is they run it just as good as they throw it. They have a really good mix on first- and second-down run and play action, and it makes it hard to defend. And then you throw in a scrambling, mobile quarterback. It adds another dimension to it. They’re really tough to defend. They run it and throw it equally well, and you throw in an athletic quarterback, and it’ll be an all-day sucker.

“I hope they’re watching a lot of different stuff,” Hafley said this week. “I’m not going to tell them whether they should or shouldn’t be watching that stuff. I really don’t know what they’d be watching, to be honest with you. They’ll probably watch some of our preseason stuff, but I’m not sure what they’ll do. They’ve got to figure that part out.”

“You don’t want to find yourself Week 1 looking at too much and you’re starting to see ghosts and things that aren’t really what they’re going to do, because it’s Week 1 and who knows how much they’ve changed, how much they’re going to rely on what they’ve done in the past, how much he’s going to change with the players that he has.

However, the Eagles last season ranked 31st on third down , 30th in the red zone and 28th in goal-to-go situations .
