'Now I can smile at strangers in Tesco with confidence and take photos and smile with my son for the first time. I never thought I could be considered"beautiful" and now I am.' Their lawyer Nigel Ford said probation officers had prepared 'very good and thorough reports' on all three women and when he was told JPs were considering imposing suspended sentences added: 'I am not going to dissuade you from that as I can see the logic of what you are saying.
'But we are mindful when two of these people are from one family, there are children and other problems involved.'
