Parents have been urged to remain vigilant
Christmas is a very busy period for all and parents have to juggle Christmas chores with work and looking after children. New research has shown that many parents may relax their child's online rules over the festive period. A warning to parents to remain vigilant has been issued by online safety group Internet Matters. They found that 42% of parents said they were less strict with their children and their online activity over Christmas .
After all, who doesn’t want to enjoy the run up to Christmas day with as little stress as possible? “We want to give parents one less thing to worry about, so parents can use My Family’s Digital Toolkit, which offers straightforward and easy-to-follow advice, to help keep kids safe online during the festive season and beyond.” Internet Matters is a not-for-profit organization that provides resources and support to help children use the internet safely.
