After three straight defeats in all competitions, United defeated Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday night to move up to eighth position in the Premier League standings. However, after six games, Erik ten Hag and his men are still nine points behind their treble-winning neighbours Manchester City at the summit.
Winners Bruno Fernandes: What a strike that was! Channelling his inner Robin van Persie to settle the scores, Fernandes made all the difference against Burnley with a high-quality winner. He more than did his bit for the side, too, in an unfancied role on the right flank which gave United control and a stop-gap solution to the ongoing problem there.
