Blackpool thug hid machete in JD Sports bag before causing life changing injuries to stranger
A man was left with life changing injuries after an unprovoked machete attack by a stranger in Blackpool.
Hatton and a friend were riding bikes in the area and after hearing Mr Foster shout, Hatton jumped off his bike and ran in front of him. He pulled the machete from a JD Sports bag he was carrying and swung it twice at Mr Foster's arm. The men ran after Hatton and pulled him from his pushbike, picking up the bag he had dropped on the floor. They flagged down a patrol car and handed over the weapon.
"This attack has affected my whole life", he said. "Prior to this I was confident and self assured but since the attack I have experienced a lack of self confidence and anxiety."
