Larne left disappointed by defeat against Molde in opening UEFA Conference League group game
Tiernan Lynch was full of praise for his Larne side despite an opening night defeat in the UEFA Conference League, which he feels will aid their future endeavours in the competition.Having learned from their previous experiences on the continent Larne remained disciplined in the first half frustrating their opponents, who are regulars at this stage of European competition.
Magnus Eikrem's 51st minute goal could have opened the floodgates, but Larne remained defensively sound until Ola Brynhildsen found the net with 12 minutes to go. Lynch though was pleased with aspects of his side's performance on an historic night for the club and the league, and felt there was plenty to take from the game.
"They were better than us. The goals that we conceded were a kick in the teeth but we'll learn from that.
