The bill, which would prohibit TikTok from US app stores, already passed the U.S. House and is awaiting a Senate vote. If it passes the Senate it would head to the desk of President Biden,Lawmakers say the “TikTok bill” is needed for national security concerns. TikTok is owned by Chinese based ByteDance.
