Tim McGraw is set to star in an upcoming Netflix drama series that focuses on the world of bull riding, according to Deadline.
The country music icon and actor will head up the as-of-now untitled series. The move was revealed during Netflix’s Upfront presentation on Wednesday. The series will be written and created by Brandon Camp, who will serve as co-showrunner for the project alongside Taylor Elmore.
While not much is known about the series, it will follow “a megastar champion facing a life-or-death crossroads when confronted by the arrival of a fearless young rider whose very existence challenges his ways and unearths secrets that force him to reckon with his past,” according to its logline.McGraw is no stranger to appearing in film and TV projects, having done brief cameos or appearances in films like Friday Night Lights, Flicka, and The Blind Side.
