The death of esteemed Yorkshire actor Timothy West has been surrounded by tragic new details following an inquest into his death. The acclaimed stage and screen icon passed away at the age of 90 on November 12 this year.
The care home nurse provided formal identification of the actor. The proceedings have now been adjourned, with a review set for February 2025, reports the Express. "Tim was with friends and family at the end. He leaves his wife Prunella Scales, to whom he was married for 61 years, a sister, a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. All of us will miss him terribly."
Timothy, a familiar face on British television with numerous appearances including roles in iconic soaps such as Coronation Street and EastEnders, the long-standing BBC sitcom Not Going Out, and ITV's Brass, has had an extensive career spanning six decades. His stage presence was equally prolific.
