Many shoppers tend to only look at the price on the label, missing out on other key information. However, understanding certain codes on TK Maxx labels can reveal whether a deal is truly worth snapping up. Jordan Cox, dubbed Britain's Coupon King and a regular on ITV's This Morning for his money-saving advice, also shares tips on his social media. On Instagram, he visited a TK Maxx store and shed light on the simple coding system used on their labels.
He suggests that the numbers on each tag indicate where the 'actual bargains' are. Shoppers need to take note of three in particular, reports the Mirror . He explained: 'When shopping there, always check the labels for a number '1', '2' or '7'. A number 1 means that product was made specifically for TK Maxx, and may not be the same quality as the brand it says it is. 'A number 2 is what you're looking for! These items are made by the brand and were sold by the brand (but are just cheaper being sold at TKMaxx). There's also a number 7, which means it's last year's stock (but still a branded item and genuine). 'Please do have a check before you buy something. It may seem like a bargain looking at the price, but it may wear out sooner than you think if it's not the real deal.' TK Maxx is a treasure trove of unique finds, offering everything from fashion to homeware and even food items.
