It’s the second Tuesday of July but we’re still in the single digits as far as dates go. As far as temperatures go, we keep getting closer and closer to triple digits. Monday had a high of 95, but up here at 7,500 ft that feels a lot hotter. The forest is ever so dry. It’s quite worrisome. Even with rain on the horizon, well that can come with lightning storms. Sometimes the rain doesn’t even fall and we get dry lightning.
Still, in the early mornings and that glorious time just before sunset, the summer warmth is quite perfect.
