I figured, since it’s Sunday and all and we’re doing our best to be lazy, that we could take a stroll down memory lane and see what big, earth-shattering events took place on this day—July 28th—throughout history. Turns out it’s been kind of a crazy day, with executions of prominent leaders, the opening shots of major wars and other pretty wild events. Behold:- The Centennial Olympic Park bombing occurred during the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
I didn’t realize how lucky my opening guess was until I read the Wordle Bot analysis later, but if I’d known I only had 12 words left I might have done things differently. As it stands, CHORE left me in a pretty good spot and I effectively squandered that with my next guess—appropriately, the word SCOWL. This did slash the number of remaining solutions down to just 3, and gave me a green ‘S’ but apparently three was too many, and STOIC was not the right choice.
