The Light Blues star was part of the Michael Beale side that took a battering off PSV in the Philips Stadion last night to end the Champions League group stage dream for this season
Todd Cantwell has sent a five word message in response to Rangers' PSV hammering with Celtic next up on Sunday.
Just 12 months ago an Antonio Colak strike knocked out PSV and secured Rangers a spot at Europe's top table after the same first leg scoreline between the duo but fast forward to present times and Cantwell and his team-mates could not replicate those heroics and will now drop down into the Europa League. They will discover their fate tomorrow when the draw is made as the final ten ties in the qualification process take place tonight.
It's the first of two big games for Rangers this week as they now turn full focus to Brendan Rodgers and Celtic with the Hoops making the trip to Ibrox on Sunday for the first Old Firm derby of the season. It's the final game before the September international break with Beale and Co looking to bounce back in front of a full home support in Govan this weekend.
On if being knocked out changes anything in terms of recruitment before the window slams shut, he said: "It doesn't change anything. It was going to be a quiet end to the window in terms of ins anyway. That was part of the plan having spoken to everyone in house. The club do plan for this. It's just the disappointment of the achievement we wanted to have. We played against an excellent team and by the end of the season I am sure that will be shown.
