Tom Brady says he is finally ready to call time on his career… ‘for good’.
The NFL legend announced on Wednesday that he was retiring from the sport after an illustrious career that included an incredible seven Super Bowl victories.Speaking in a video posted on his Twitter account, Brady, 45, said: “Good morning, guys. I’ll get to the point right away. I’m retiring for good.
“I know the process was a pretty big deal last time so when I woke up this morning I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first. “It won’t be long winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year.”Brady announced his retirement in February 2022, but that lasted a mere 40 days. That U-turn came after a meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo on the Manchester United pitch back in March.
His 23rd, and final, NFL season was a tough one as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers limped into the play-offs with a losing record – the first of his career.Brady won the Super Bowl a record seven times
