According to Deadline, Tom, Doug and writers Christopher McQuarrie and PJ van Sandwijk pitched the one-of-a-kind project to Universal in a ‘exuberant Zoom call’.Announcing the news, Nasa’s administrator Jim Bridenstine tweeted at the time: ‘NASA is excited to work with @TomCruise on a film aboard the @Space_Station! We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA’s ambitious plans a reality.
‘Tom never does anything recklessly and all of his stunts are meticulously designed, rehearsed and trained for. If he does it, it will be really safe. So, I don’t know, you never know.’More:
