Venom director Kelly Marcel has revealed that she deliberately dressed Tom Hardy in a tuxedo in a move for landing a role as James Bond.
Tom Hardy was deliberately dressed in a tuxedo in the latest Venom movie In the latest film Venom: The Last Dance, the director Kelly Marcel revealed she dressed Hardy’s character in a tuxedo for a very deliberate reason. In 2021, Daniel Craig holstered his weapons and performed as Bond for the last time in No Time to Die. Three years of rumour later, it’s still unclear which new actor will take up the spy’s licence to kill – but eyes are all on Tom Hardy.
‘That’s an extraordinary list to be on. I was flabbergasted,’ Marcel says. ‘There’s never been a female Bond director, and of course, when you see something like that, it’s just incredibly humbling. So I’m grateful to be mentioned alongside any of those brilliant, brilliant directors.’ The actor stars across Michelle Williams in the franchise Hardy isn’t the only actor rumoured to become the next Bond.
