Tributes have been flooding in for boxer Genadij Krajevskij, who has died aged 37. The Lithuanian national whose nickname was the Baltic Bomber, fought against Tommy Fury back in 2020 and was described as a "delight" in the sport.
Official VIP Boxing Promotions added another heartfelt statement, writing: "It is with deep sorrow that we receive the news of Genadij Krajevskij's passing. We had the honour of featuring him in the VIP Shows on multiple occasions. Genadij and Tommy Fury - whose big brother is former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury - fought in the ring in November 2020, with Tommy emerging victorious after a second round knockout.
Nick Blackwell, a British Middleweight Champion and English Middleweight Champion also posted a tribute to Genadij on X and called for more support in the sport. "RIP Genadij Krajevskij," he wrote.
