Alice Sheridan was a proud Govan woman who fought injustice all her life.
Touching tributes have been pouring in for Tommy Sheridan's mum, Alice, following her death in a tragic flat fire in Cardonald on Sunday evening.
While employed by the Royal Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children , she worked with children and adults who were victims of sexual abuse and helped hundreds of people.Tommy said: "It is with great regret and broken hearts that myself and my two sisters Lynn and Carol have to inform our friends that our mum has sadly been taken from us last night.
"Her commitment to Scottish independence and opposition to the poisonous Murdoch media empire was peerless. She was some wummin.
