The 2024 Tony Awards were held on Sunday night at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.
Oscar and Tony award winner Ariana DeBose returned to host the telecast for the third time. The Daniel Aukin-directed production “Stereophonic,” a play set in the ’70s about fictional band, was the evening’s big winner with five Tonys, including best direction and best play. “The Outsiders,” a musical co-produced by Angelina Jolie that’s based on the S.E. Hinton novel, scored four wins.
